  • ESS grabbed scissors and glue for some fun crafting with families!

  • Winter Wonderland Dance!

Students grabbed a family member for their dancing partner and hit the dance floor!  It was great to see so many families attend this community event, dressed to impress and ready for fun!
  • Kindergarten Native American Day!
They planted and ground corn, fished, made fire, hunted buffalo and made clay pots. Thank you to the amazing teachers and parents who made this day possible.
  • Our Fall Festival was a hit!

Every year our students and families enjoy this special event. This year we moved it to Friday night and added a Haunted Garden! The students loved it. Thank you to all of our volunteers who helped make this a successful community event!

  • Everyday Leader Assembly!

Ronald McDonald came to Maryland Avenue to help teach us about being a leader by Listening to others, setting a good example, being responsible for our own actions, and doing our best!

  • Our School Gardens!
We have been improving our school garden and adding additional garden areas for students and classes to take science outside!
Thank you to Home Depot for their generous donation of materials and volunteers in August to help build the garden area next to our Kindergarten classrooms.
We are also excited about the new garden area behind P3 that was build in January 2017! The area is beautiful.
A heartfelt thank you to all of the parents who have volunteered their time to help create and beautify our garden areas.
  • Dr. Seuss Day!
We celebrated literacy in honor of children's book author, Dr. Seuss. Students participated in language arts activities based on Dr. Seuss books. Students engaged in activities about Dr. Seuss books such as The Lorax, and 10 Apples up on Top. In addition our older students engaged in learning about a variety of Authors.
Fall Family Night was a Huge Success!
It was great to welcome so many of our families to our first big event of the school year. We danced to the DJ, got our faces painted, played with bubbles, and enjoyed learning about the many cultures that make up the Maryland Avenue community. Thank you to all of the families who participated, helped plan, and volunteered to make this event come to life for our community.
