Achieving Excellence

  •   Mustangs logo
Welcome to Murray Manor Campus, our reputation as one of the top schools in La Mesa-Spring Valley Schools (924 API) and identified as a California Distinguished School, is warranted due to our dedication of providing each of our scholars with a challenging learning experience, while embracing the growth mindset. We take pride in our tradition of success and excellence based in rigorous, research based teaching and learning.
We believe every child can achieve and the effort to meet each child's needs for growth socially, emotionally, and academically is ongoing and intentional. Our focus will continue to be on the tradition of academic excellence via Common Core State Standards as a pathway to continuously build sustainable change on our journey to educate our 21st Century Learners. Our guiding questions are, "What does it mean to be college and career ready?" and "What are we trying to accomplish together?" Our vision is that it's our moral imperative to do what's best and right for all our scholars each and every day with a sense of urgency.
You are critical to our success! We ask that you be our educational partners in your child(ren)'s education. By being involved, active, and working together, we will continue the tradition of excellence at Murray Manor Campus. Together, as educational partners, we will make this a great school year by putting our scholars 1st in all we do! Lets continue to change our piece of the world for the better.
    Shine and Thrive On!

All parents, volunteers, visitors must always check in/out at the front office, wear a visitor/volunteer badge, and sign in/out. Our staff highly values maximizing time on task in our learning environments, therefore please plan accordingly for pick up at dismissal. To protect instructional minutes and limit disruptions, plan on coming onto campus at 2:20 pm dismissal (Tuesdays at 1:05 pm). If any sooner, everyone must wait in the dismissal waiting area (in front of the school office), until the dismissal bell rings. Additionally, students are not to enter/exit school grounds through the staff parking lot. Students may exit campus on the sidewalk in front of the school office and the sidewalk near the lunch area. During school hours, campus fences will be secured, and the only entrance onto campus is at the front of the school to check in/out at the front office. Thank you for your support and understanding with ensuring our scholars are safe.

MUM scholars will be able to participate in the Attendance Challenge again this 2017-2018 school year.

The Excellence Attendance (no more than 3 absences) and Perfect Attendance (no absences) Challenge is sponsored by Assemblymember Shirley N. Weber.

At the end of the 2017-2018 school year, MUM scholars who meet the attendance criteria will be invited to participate in a special recognition ceremony hosted by Assemblymember Weber.

Last year, MUM scholars were recognized in a ceremony during the summer at Sea World. They received, along with a parent/guardian, early/free admittance into Sea World after the ceremony. At the ceremony, our scholars also received breakfast, a certificate, and a medal, along with many Assembly members, Mayors, the State Superintendent, etc. in attendance to honor them.

Let see who's up to the challenge this school year. Go Mustangs!
