    Board position descriptions

    PRESIDENT – shall coordinate the work of the officers and the committee to promote the objectives of PTA, preside at all Association and Executive Board meetings as well as attend Council and District meetings, and sign authorizations for payments.

    MEMBERSHIP – shall serve as chairman of membership recruitment.

    PARENT INVOLVEMENT – shall oversee recruitment of volunteers for programs and services.

    SECRETARY – shall read the previous minutes and take the minutes at all Executive Board and Association Meetings,  record expenditures in the minutes.

    TREASURER – shall keep the books of gross income, receipts and disbursements and prepare the budget for adoption by the Association; record all monies received from the Financial Secretary; keep an accurate ledger of transactions; present statements of accounts at Association and Executive Board meetings; make an annual financial report to the Association.

    AUDITOR – shall audit books and financial records semi-annually, complete audits in January and June and written reports for Executive Board and Association meetings in February and September; audit books as deemed necessary during the year.

    HISTORIAN – shall record the activities, achievements and volunteer hours of the Association and act as custodian of records and other materials related to the history of the Association.
