On Wednesday, October 31, 2018, the District and CSEA had another productive day at the negotiations table. We bargained the job descriptions and salary ranges for the Campus Attendant and the ESS Recreation Attendant, which are new positions to the bargaining unit effective January 1, 2019.
Additionally, both parties agreed to form a classified evaluation committee to review best practices for classified evaluations and to make recommendations to ensure our evaluations focus on a growth model that will help to further develop our employees’ skills and abilities.
CSEA provided an overview of AB1808 – Classified School Employee Assistance Program / Classified School Employee Professional Development Block Grant Program. CSEA brought language for the district to consider. We agreed to meet again on November 29.
CSEA and the district discussed Article 12 – Paid Holidays. Both parties will continue to review this topic and reconvene.
Personnel Commission staff agreed to revise and repost the Classification and Compensation Job Families Study timeline on the district’s website.
