{"id":10,"date":"2019-02-11T20:40:17","date_gmt":"2019-02-11T20:40:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lmsvschools.org\/lamesadale\/?page_id=10"},"modified":"2025-09-22T10:57:06","modified_gmt":"2025-09-22T17:57:06","slug":"pickup-dropoff","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.lmsvschools.org\/lamesadale\/pickup-dropoff\/","title":{"rendered":"Pickup &amp; Dropoff"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>Please know that we are focused on your child&#8217;s safety at school.&nbsp; However, in order to fully be successful, we need your patience and cooperation. <\/em><\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ARRIVAL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed alignright is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"La Mesa Dale Car Drop-off and Pick-up\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/EIFxSTr_lO0?feature=oembed&#038;modestbranding=1&#038;showinfo=0&#038;rel=0\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gates open at 7:30 am.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students who walk to school may enter through the pedestrian gates on Parks or Olive Ave.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you drive to school:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Families may park in a designated parking space in the parking lot and use the crosswalk to walk students from the parking lot to the lower playground gate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Families can also remain in their cars in the &#8220;Drop-Off Lane&#8221; on the far right side of the parking lot.  A staff member will let you know when your child can exit the vehicle.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not drop students off from a car in Parking Lot on Parks.&nbsp;The lot on Parks is for busses and Community Schools Resource Center staff only. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once on campus, students can stop by the cafeteria for free breakfast. Students not getting breakfast go to Run Club. On Rainy Days, please plan to arrive after 7:40<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Staff members will be available to help all students find their classrooms. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>DISMISSAL<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students will be united with their families on the lower playground.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parents who plan to meet students on campus can wait on lower playground.  Teachers will communicate with you where you can find them on the lower playground. <br>Parents\/Guardians may not go past the playground gates onto campus without wearing a visitor badge acquired by signing in at the office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Parents who plan to drive up and have students meet them at the car will use the drive through lane located along the curb in front of the office.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Let your child\u2019s teacher know if you plan to drive through for pick up so that students can be in designated area.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please have a sign with your child\u2019s name and teacher&#8217;s name on the front dash of your car to help us reunite you with your child quickly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once your student(s) are with you, please exit campus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please plan to pick up your student(s) by 2:25 (1:10 on Tuesdays).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">EARLY pickup policy:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>A note from home is required when a student leaves school early. Be prepared to present your ID. You will be <strong>required to sign your student out at the Health Technician\u2019s desk; your child will be called to the office after you have arrived at school. <\/strong>Please plan accordingly as this can take a few minutes.&nbsp; If someone other than a parent or guardian is picking up your child, the parent\/guardian must deliver a signed, dated letter notifying the office as to which emergency contact will be picking up the student with the date and time of that pickup.&nbsp; That person must show their ID upon pick up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT:<\/strong> If you want to pick up your child before the end of the school day, it must be BEFORE 2:00 pm (M,W,Th,F) or 12:45 pm (Tuesdays).
