Fidget Spinners are not allowed at school. Please keep these at home.
La Mesa-Spring Valley Schools will be instituting new procedures, effective August 2017. These procedures were developed to ensure the safety of all of our students in the event of a parent request that their child be picked up by an adult other than themselves. If anyone other than the student’s custodial parent is picking up a student prior to the end of the school day, BOTH of the following conditions must be met:
•The person picking up the student must be listed as an emergency contact in our student database.
•The custodial parent must deliver a signed, dated letter notifying the office as to which emergency contact will be picking up the student and the date and time of that pick-up.
Valid ID must be provided to office personnel prior to student release.
Request for Student Clothing – Message From Health Office
Throughout the school year, students will come to the School Health Office because of accidents or spills. We have various sizes of clothing that a student can change into. By borrowing school clothing, a student can change and then go directly back to class. By doing this, the student misses only a small amount of instructional time. We are in short supply of the following sizes and types of clothing:
Boys – Size 10 and up Shorts, slacks, and shirts
Girls – Size 10 and up Shorts, slacks, and long tops/t-shirts
Boys – Size 5-6 and 8-10 Shorts and slacks
Girls – Size 6-8 and 8-10 Shorts, slacks, and tops/t-shirts
If you are cleaning out closets and drawers and are getting rid of some clothing please consider donating any of the above items to the Sweetwater Springs School health office. If you have questions, please call Diane Kirschenman, Health Technician, at (619) 668-5895x3789.
Safety is one of our highest priorities. Students should not arrive at school before 7:45 a.m. unless they are enrolled in ESS or are here for breakfast which starts at 7:30 a.m. If neither apply to your student, please help us keep them safe by arriving to school no earlier than 7:45 a.m.
