Dress Code

To provide a safe and secure campus, the parents and community of STEAM Academy School adopted and support a school dress code. Except for scheduled Spirit Days, all students must be in dress code while at school.

Pants

  • Pants must be our school colors: SOLID navy Blue, Black, or White. No other colors are allowed.
  • Must be worn at the waist at all times.
  • No underwear may be visible at any time.
  • No P.E. clothes may be worn in classrooms.

Shorts & Skirts

  • Shorts & Skirts must be our school colors: SOLID Navy Blue, Black, or White. No other colors are allowed.
  • Must be worn at the waist at all times.
  • No underwear may be visible at any time.
  • No P.E. clothes may be worn in classrooms.

Shirts

  • All shirts and undershirts must be our school colors: SOLID Navy Blue, Black, or White. No other colors are allowed.
  • All shirts must be either long or short sleeved and cover the shoulders.
  • Shirts must be without logos, writing, or pictures, except for school logos or shirts created for approved STEAM student groups.
  • No P.E. clothes may be worn in the classrooms.

Jackets, Sweatshirts, Sweaters, & Outerwear

  • Outerwear must be our school colors: SOLID Navy Blue, Black, or White. No other colors are allowed.
  • Outerwear must be without logos, writing, or pictures, except for school logos or those created for approved STEAM student groups.
  • A SOLID Navy Blue, Black, or White shirt must be worn under any outerwear.

Footwear 

  • All shoes must have a closed toe.

Accessories

  • No strong scents should be used at school. Never spray aerosols while on campus.
  • Please keep valuables at home, and do not bring large amounts of cash.
  • Always secure your electronic devices.
  • Jewelry should be appropriate for school.
  • No sharp objects of any kind.

The Administration reserves the right to identify certain articles of clothing as unacceptable for school.

Per California Education Code 35183, parents/guardians wishing to exempt their student(s) from the school dress code may contact the school’s administration.
