Our school improvement projects are now in full swing.
- The playground is coming along great. Crews have trenched, repaired, and backfilled. We expect that piece to wrap up soon. Eventually, a new fence will be built along the east side of the playground. This shouldn’t interfere with recess.
- The lunch area is currently being repaired. Crews will likely be pouring concrete. We hope to have this piece completed prior to the first day of school.
- The flood zone between two of our buildings was trenched, repaired and new concrete has been poured.
- The main office is currently inaccessible. Crews are repairing the interior, updating the principal’s office, updating the workroom, and building a new conference room for meetings. We do not have a completion date for this piece at this time. In the meantime, our main office will be housed in our staff lounge that can be accessed through the staff lounge patio which is located just off the staff parking lot. If picking up your students, you can park in the little league lot and walk to the side door. Signs will be posted.
- The front of the school is currently being graded for improvements (ramps, stairs, walkways, foliage and signage. We do not have a completion date. This area of our campus is off limits.
- During construction, we need to change pick-up and drop-off procedures. TK/K/and ESS will enter each morning and be picked up at the auditorium while 1st-5th graders will enter and exit through the back gate off of Tampa. We will also be opening our pick-up and drop-off circle in the back of the school off Tampa.
