For information about the Trust Blended Learning Independent Study program, please contact the Trust school office at nicole.budnik@lmsvschools.org or call (619)771-6080.
Beginning with the 23-24 school year we will be located on the Loma Elementary School Campus at 10355 Loma Ln, Spring Valley, CA 91978.
The Trust Blended Learning Independent Study program is available to serve families who want an alternative learning approach to K-8 instruction. With a focus on personalized achievement and discovery, Trust Blended learning puts children in an environment where they can learn, be successful, and naturally discover their true passions. We blend a successful combination of independent study and the traditional home school experience.
We encourage children to explore their strengths, interests, and values. We help children reach their full potential through creative thinking, exploration, and problem solving. Students are required to meet the expectations of learning, work completion, and instructional minutes that occur at a traditional school.
Prior to enrolling in the Trust Blended Learning Program:
- A transfer request must be submitted through the La Mesa Spring Valley School District Website.
- The transfer request must be approved by the La Mesa Spring Valley School District.
- A parent/guardian has the right to request an optional pupil-student-educator conference meeting
- The student and the parent/guardian must review and sign the Master Learning Agreement
Upon Enrolling:
- The assigned certificated teacher will meet with the child and the parent/guardian to explain program expectations, curriculum resources, weekly due dates of assignments, and to answer questions.
- Assignments will be collected electronically
- Mandatory steps, described as Tiered Reengagement, for when a student is not completing assignments, performing at grade-level, or participating during on-line or in person instruction may be implemented
If you would like to disenroll from the Trust Blended Learning Independent Study Program, you may contact the Trust school office (email nicole.budnik@lmsvschools.org or call (619)771-6080) and be granted a transfer to in-person learning within 5 business days. Please note that when you request to re-enroll in in-person learning, your child will be provided a space at your resident school or at a school where enrollment is available.
