I want to welcome our parents and students to Casa de Oro…home of the Cougars!
I am very humbled and honored to serve as the principal at Casa de Oro. I’ve come to find that the community of Casa de Oro is a place where parents, teachers and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support the academic and social growth of students. My mission is to help foster a student’s love for school and learning!
We are very excited to have students return to campus for the 2021-2022 school year! The staff is thrilled to have students back in our classrooms and hallways, filling them with an enthusiasm and love for school and learning! This year, we are working diligently to reconnect, recover and thrive as we continue to move through the COVID-19 pandemic. The last year and a half has shown that our students, parents and teachers are very resilient as we consistently modify and adjust to the constant changes that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought.
The staff at Casa de Oro strives to challenge each student to grow in his or her abilities. Our teachers work in grade level Professional Learning Communities to analyze data, research best practices, design interventions to support students learning, and challenge student thinking. The high-quality instruction that takes place every day at Casa de Oro is aligned to the Common Core Standards which promote 21st Century learning skills including communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.
Without you, we cannot do the work that we do! In order to strengthen our home-school partnership, I encourage you to engage with the Casa de Oro school community. We are so fortunate to have a strong parent community and your support makes a huge difference!
Thank you for entrusting the staff at Casa de Oro with your most precious gift…your child! I hope that you will find Casa de Oro to be a place where we are “Growing Minds and Building Leaders.”
At your service,
Ryan Icenhower, Principal
