Welcome to Casa de Oro School!

As the Principal of Casa de Oro Elementary School, it brings me great pleasure and joy to welcome all of our new and returning families! Thank you for choosing our school community and entrusting us with your most precious gift…your child.

At Casa de Oro, we are “Growing Minds and Building Leaders.” I am very humbled and honored to serve as the principal at Casa de Oro. We are excited to have students back in our classrooms and hallways, filling them with laughter, energy and enthusiasm for learning. Our school community is a place where students, parents and teachers care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support the academic and social growth of students. We strive to help every child feel welcomed, connected and a part of the Casa de Oro family.

Our mission is to help foster a student’s love for school and learning! The staff at Casa de Oro challenges each student to grow in his or her academic abilities. Our teachers work in grade level Professional Learning Communities to analyze data, research best practices, design interventions to support students learning, and challenge student thinking. The high-quality instruction that takes place every day at Casa de Oro is aligned to the Common Core Standards which promote 21st Century learning skills including communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.

Of course, we cannot do this work alone. In order to strengthen our home-school
partnership, I encourage you to engage with the Casa de Oro school community. We are so fortunate to have a strong parent community and your support makes a huge difference!

I hope that you will find Casa de Oro to be a place where we are “Growing Minds and Building Leaders.”

Ryan Icenhower, Principal
