Welcome

Welcome to La Mesa Dale, home of the Lions! At our school, every student belongs, every voice matters, and every child is seen for their whole self. We take pride in the joy of learning, working hard, and helping one another grow. With an outstanding staff, beautiful facilities, and a strong academic foundation, we also offer well-rounded learning experiences that support every aspect of a child’s development. Students extend their classroom learning in the garden, explore rhythm and creativity in music, and express themselves through visual arts. As one of three schools in La Mesa-Spring Valley School District with a Community Resource Center on campus, we’re here to support families as true partners—even beyond the classroom. Whether you’re already part of our Lion community or considering joining us, we’re so glad you’re here—because, “It’s your day, La Mesa Dale Lions, and you have the power to make it a great one!” Enroll today!

Lost & Found

Clearly label your child’s jackets, water bottles, and lunch boxes with their full name. Every labeled item is returned to its owner—but nearly all items in our Lost and Found have no names on them. We know these items can be expensive, and we want to help you avoid the cost of replacements.

Our Lost and Found is located on the exterior west wall of the office—feel free to check it at arrival or dismissal for missing belongings. Items left unclaimed are donated during Fall, Winter, and Spring breaks. Save time, money, and stress—label everything before it comes to school!

Birthday Celebrations

In lieu of birthday celebrations in classrooms, the District recommends that parents donate a book to the classroom library, bring pencils, stickers, or other small trinkets (like fidgets) to hand out to the kids. These items may be dropped off at the office and teachers will pick them up for distribution to students at the end of the school day. Birthday parties should happen outside of school hours.
