We care about the whole child

A whole child approach to education is critical to equitably preparing each student to reach their full potential. At La Mesa Dale Elementary we teach academics, however we also strive to teach our students to be better human beings who are able to navigate the world long after they leave our halls.

Sage Garden

La Mesa Dale has a beautiful school garden and recently received the Sage Garden Grant.  The grant supports experiential learning that supports learners of all styles and abilities. The goal is to help kids enjoy eating more fruits and vegetables. By developing our hands-on kitchen and garden skills we strive to provide our future generations with opportunities to enjoy more nourishment and less processed food.

To that end, our amazing Garden Teacher, Ms. Aida, has created a series of Garden Lessons that students and families can enjoy - even while we’re in distance learning.  You can access a variety of garden lessons here: La Mesa Dale's Garden Lesson Playlist
