Boy with thumbs up

Military Family Resources

We are so grateful to have the opportunity to work with students (about 20% of our school population) who have one or both parents serving in the military. Whether you're new to the San Diego Area, have been here for a while, or are about to move on, we are here to support you.
Chanin Massaglia works with La Mesa Dale's military families as a School Liaison Officers (SLO). Her primary function is to serve as the conduit between parents, educators and the command so that military-connected children experience a seamless transition during the transfer between schools. She serves as a subject matter expert in education-related issues such as the Interstate Compact for Military Children, Department of Education, local school districts and other educational related organizations. She is always happy to help! Chanin Massaglia, Naval Base San Diego School Liaison Officer, 619-556-9499,

New opportunities in full bloom at historic La Mesa Dale

The list of enhancements at the school are very enticing: a newly minted Principal, an enthusiastic and wonderfully dedicated PTA, and a fresh bounty of exciting new offerings for children and families.
