Meet the Library Media Tech
I’m Mrs. Barnette, and I’m so excited to be your new school librarian! I’ve been with the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District for 18 years. I started out in the library at Murdock Elementary (back when Mrs. Babbitt was a teacher there!), then spent about 7 years working in Human Resources at the district office. For the past 8 years, I’ve been the librarian at Rolando Elementary.
I’m a proud mom of three daughters who all teach in LMSV schools, one as a Specialized Academic Instruction teacher, one as a Speech Language Pathologist and one as a 2nd grade teacher. I’m also a very proud “Gram” to two grandkids, and when I’m not spending time with them, I enjoy crafting, a good wordsearch, camping and I love reading historical fiction books.
I can’t wait to start this new chapter of my story at La Mesa Dale and get to know all of your wonderful kids. I’m looking forward to sharing stories, encouraging a love of reading, and creating a fun and inviting space in the library.
