Welcome

The underlying principle in all instruction at La Mesa Arts Academy (LMAAC) is an emphasis on character and leadership.

LMAAC is proud to offer our students a rigorous and meaningful academic program infused with the arts, featuring a comprehensive, interdisciplinary, standards-based arts curriculum that promotes character, community involvement and leadership skills. At LMAAC, a specialist teaches every child in core academic, elective and physical education classes. At LMAAC, students receive foundational coursework in the arts that serves as a prerequisite for future conservatory studies.

We are proud partners with many community organizations including Arms Wide Open Productions and San Diego Youth Services.

Enrollment is open to students throughout the LMSV attendance area as well as those from outlying communities in greater San Diego County. An enrollment packet must be completed for students wishing to attend.

Trust Blended Learning – Home School, Online, and Independent Study Options

Our Trust Blended Learning program offers families the opportunity to continue with distance learning in a format that works for them. The Trust program offers traditional homeschool, online-only, and blended learning options for families who prefer a less traditional or more home-based learning model. While each model is a bit different, all students enrolled in Trust will participate in daily virtual instruction in addition to independent learning activities.

New to LMSV? Enroll in Trust here. Already enrolled in an LMSV school? Enroll by completing this interest survey. Click here for more information about Trust.

Students may disenroll from independent study and enroll for in-person instruction at any point in the school year. However, in-person enrollment will be based on space availability and families will not be guaranteed enrollment at a specific school. Prior to enrolling in Trust, families have the right to request a pupil-parent-educator conference. Per CA Education Code requirements, students with special needs who have an IEP must have an IEP team meeting in order to determine if independent study is appropriate for the child’s specific learning needs and goals.
