San Diego County Office of Education Recognizes and Celebrates “Teachers are Heroes” Award Winner from La Presa Elementary School

LPE Teacher Awarded Teachers Are Heroes Recognition SDCOE

The San Diego County Office of Education surprised La Presa Elementary School kindergarten teacher, Michelle Juarez, at an assembly with the “Teachers are Heroes” award. After her name was announced, students chanted, “BEST DAY EVER!” SDCOE partners with Azusa Pacific University and Entercom radio stations Alt 94.9, KSON and Sunny 98.1 to celebrate outstanding teachers 12 times during the year.

In addition to being recognized for her excellence in teaching and service to the community, Ms. Juarez also received a few special celebrations and gifts. The first was a gift card from Staples. Her class was also gifted with a field trip to Legoland California. Sombrero restaurant also threw the class a taco party.

Many congratulations are to Ms. Juarez. We are grateful to our community partners, SDCOE, Azusa Pacific University, Entercom, Legoland and Sombrero.
