Transitional Kindergarten (TK)

What is TK?

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is part of the K-12 public school system and is the first year of a two-year kindergarten program. TK is essentially a free, all-day preschool program that uses age and developmentally appropriate curriculum for four-year-olds. Children who complete TK move on to kindergarten the following year, giving them two years of early childhood learning before entering 1st grade. TK is now offered at all LMSV elementary schools.

A child is eligible for TK if they turn four by September 1.

How do I request a transfer for TK?
