Breaks & Non-School Days
Program Overview
ESS remains operational during Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer breaks, offering enriching activities and field trips throughout San Diego County.
- Cost: The cost of field trips and excursions is included in your weekly tuition fees.
- Hours of Operation: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily.
Enrollment & Prioritization
- Separate Enrollment: Breaks are optional and require a separate registration via your Eleyo account. You may select any or all available sessions.
- Enrollment Window: Registering during the designated enrollment period significantly increases the likelihood of securing a spot. Due to high demand, space fills rapidly; we strongly encourage early registration to prevent being placed on a waitlist.
- Priority Status: While students from other districts may attend if space permits, students currently enrolled in the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District receive priority.
Cancellation Policy
- Official Cancellation: To avoid being charged for a reserved break session, you must contact the ESS Billing Department by the specific cancellation dates listed on the website and program flyers.
- Site Notification: Informing ESS site staff of a cancellation is not sufficient and will not stop billing.
Attendance & Removal
- Waitlist Policy: Due to limited availability and high demand, prolonged absences may lead to removal from the summer program to accommodate students on the waitlist. Failure to participate for three (3) or more consecutive days may result in the cancellation of your break enrollment.
- Re-enrollment: If a student is dropped due to non-attendance, they may be placed on the waiting list should you wish to re-renroll.
Effective August 7, 2025:
MUST pre-register and prepay on a bi-weekly basis. Fees are non-refundable.
