Welcome to Room 16! My name is Gina Lucatuorto, and this year I will be teaching a 4/5 combination class. You are probably wondering how that is going to work and I wll tell you all about it at Back to School Night. Our classroom is a mixture of traditional seats and flexible seats. The idea behind flexible seats is to allow students to choose, at times, a seat where they can do their best work. Flexible seating is a privilege and I am optimistic that my students this year with be successful with the arrangement. I believe that open communication and family support from home are crucial for student success so I will do my best to keep you all informed and to work together to make this year a positive experience for all. A few things about me: I am married and have three children. One of my daughters is a recent graduate from SDSU, one daughter attends Cal State Fullerton, and my son will be a junior in high school. I love to hike, go to the beach, read, ride bikes, watch movies, dance, listen to live music, and spend time with my family and friends. My expectations for my students are to always do their best work, be kind, and to respect others by following the rules. I like to have fun in class, but the work has to get done. If we work hard we can play hard! I am looking forward to the first day of school and meeting all of you!
